Land Rover Range Rover Sport L320 6HP28 TCU tuning, shift point adjustment

Individual tuning for 6HP28:

On this 2010 Range Rover Sport (Land Rover L320) 3.0 TDV6 with the ZF 6HP28, we recalibrated the gearbox shift strategy to prevent the engine from lugging at low speed. The updated logic keeps engine speed above approximately 1300–1500 rpm (gear-dependent), improving smoothness and overall response in everyday driving.

This approach is also mechanically beneficial, as it reduces low-RPM load spikes and helps protect the engine—particularly the crankshaft—by keeping operation in a healthier rev range. We also rised original TCU torque limit 690Nm, because engine also was tuned.
