Many naturally aspirated BMW engines come with limited power from the factory, like this BMW 125i with a 3.0L engine rated at 218 hp.
We can unlock the power so it performs like a proper 3.0L engine only modifying ECU software.
On this engine, the main limitations are airflow and maximum valve lift, since it is equipped with Valvetronic.
For this setup, we set the maximum RPM limit to 7000 rpm.
We also applied a small fix: the ECU limits eccentric shaft movement above approximately 6800 rpm, which reduces maximum valve lift. This correction helps maintain valve lift at higher RPM.
Other available options:
- CAT heating off
- CAT off
- Maximum load camshaft adjustments
- DTCs off
